The candidates standing in South Lanarkshire have been confirmed for the election, with polling taking place from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 7 May 2026.

In the Clydesdale constituency, the candidates are:

• Richard John Brodie (Scottish Liberal Democrats)
• Dan Clarke (Reform UK)
• Lynsey Hamilton (Scottish Labour Party)
• Mairi McAllan (Scottish National Party – SNP)
• Julie Pirone (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party)

In the East Kilbride constituency, the candidates are:

• Leigh Butler (Scottish Liberal Democrats)
• Joe Fagan (Scottish Labour Party)
• Kristofer Keane (Independent)
• Tim Kelly (Reform UK)
• Collete Stevenson (Scottish National Party – SNP)

In the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse constituency, the candidates are:

For those resident in the constituency of Uddingston and Bellshill, this will be administered by North Lanarkshire Council.

For this election, voters will be given two ballot papers – a constituency ballot paper (lilac colour) to elect a person to be your constituency member and a regional ballot paper (peach colour) to elect a regional member.
